Meet Lauch Hines
Lauchlin V. Hines
Lauch started
LH Chemical Consulting to pursue his passion of helping management teams turn
vision statements into reality. He
works with several companies on diverse projects including:

Business plan review and venture capital search for a start-up
automotive company.
·
Acquisition strategy and assistance for a small chemical company.
·
Benchmarking for process and EHS improvements for a large
international chemical company.
Prior to starting LH Chemical Consulting Lauch was Business Director
for Borden Chemical’s Industrial Resins business where he developed the
business strategy and implemented a number of “operational excellence”
initiatives. Previously he had a
26-year career with W. R. Grace & Co., Hampshire Chemical and Akzo Nobel
where he held a variety of leadership positions in the areas of project,
technical, EHS and plant management.
He has public relations experience and has led public outreach
programs, particularly during the time of “A Civil Action”. Lauch was also responsible for the design,
construction, start-up and operation of a hydrogen cyanide intermediates
facility in Lima, Ohio. Earlier in
his career he worked in various capacities at Gulf Oil’s Philadelphia
refinery.
Lauch
received his BS degree in chemical engineering from Lehigh University, and
graduated from the Sloan School’s Greater Boston Executive Program in
Business Management at MIT.
